B Movie has been run before — in the Summer of 2026 — and this gave us some useful insights into those areas of the game that needed tweaking. The 2027 run enables us to offer a re-cut and revamped version of the larp to life.
We plan to extend and revise the workshops to give players more time to get to know about the process of movie making, to enable this we are suggesting that players arrive on site on Wednesday afternoon rather than Thursday lunchtime, but all mandatory workshops will still start on Thursday. We will also redesign the B World experience by putting more detail around the B World characters, giving more backstory for the town of Blackwood Ridge, and expanding the plotlines of these characters. There will also be clearer signposting of where and when B World play takes place. Options will be in place for players who do not wish to engage with the B World Experience.
For any re-run there is also an opportunity to revise and iterate on the characters and their relationships with one another as — having seen how they were portrayed in the first run — we have met them and know more about the stories they might tell.
