We will provide you with a written Storyworld character with a background, motivations, and some ideas for a few relationships. As a part of this character you will receive a set of questions about the character that we’d like you to think about. In addition, we will provide you with an outline of your B World character in the form of a snippet from a script. The B World characters will be stereotypes, like you’d see in any B Movie: the Sheriff, the Quarterback, the Diner Waitress, the Alien Invaders. While the Storyworld characters exist throughout the larp, the B World characters only exist when the cameras are rolling or scenes are rehearsed.

We encourage you to develop both layers of these characters yourselves and with your co-players. You are welcome to reach out to your co-players and to form and build relationships in advance of the larp. Pre-play is also encouraged with the proviso that you don’t resolve any plot points before the larp. We will also have some time in workshops for relationship building We ask that you engage with the pre-larp activities as much as you are able, but we ask that – at a minimum – you commit to reviewing the game materials and to attend or watch the online pre-larp briefings.
